divh2Business Development / Sales Representative/h2pCanam is seeking a US-based Business Development / Sales representative for the Northeast and Midwest Markets in the USA./ppThe successful candidate will promote the advantages of using steel joists, girders and deck systems to both new and existing customers throughout the Northeast and Midwest USA markets. Responsibilities include business development and conducting sales and marketing activities consistent with our corporate mission./ppstrongEssential Functions:/strong/pulliMeet the Canam business development objectives as established by Ontario sales office/liliIdentify and qualify companies with building construction needs in the industrial, commercial and institutional sectors./liliContinually research targeted clients profile, needs and develop better building solution offers/liliDevelop new relationships with fabricators and brokers in Northeast and Midwest USA market/liliPromote Canam products and services in collaboration with consultants to the construction industry/liliTravel on a regular basis to maintain and build, on established businesses, relationships with clients/liliObtain information required to prepare complete estimate/liliInterpret and explain proposals to customer including exclusions and qualifications/liliNegotiate contractual agreement/liliMonitor activities and pricing levels of competitors/liliDevelop a strong network of contacts with engineers, architects, contractors, developers in the building construction industry/liliCollaborate with sales, engineering, estimating and project management team in Ontario/liliAttend to and participate in construction industry conferences, seminars, trade shows and various networking events/liliIdentify new business opportunities and provide expertise and support to the design and construction communities for the commercialization of new and existing Canam products/liliPerform other job duties as assigned by supervisor/li/ulpstrongQualifications:/strong/pulliBachelors degree in Business or Engineering preferred/liliFive years sales experience in the steel construction industry/liliKnowledge and understanding of building construction combined with steel design concepts presented on architectural and engineering drawings/liliAbility to understand construction drawings and specifications/liliAbility to work with Google Workspace and experience using a CRM platform/liliEffective written and verbal communications skills/liliAbility to read, analyze and interpret technical documents, financial reports and legal documents/liliExcellent organizational, negotiation, customer service, and presentation skills/liliKnowledge and history of acceptable selling practices in this specific industry and the ability to establish good rapport with customers/liliAbility to travel frequently across the territory/li/ulpstrongAdditional Information:/strong/ppSince 1960, Canam has been an employer with a strong, unifying and family culture, rallying its 5,100 employees.
