Description
Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups utilizing both standardized assessments and direct observations. Craft individualized treatment plans that effectively target specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliberately implement speech therapy techniques concentrating on various areas including communication, language progression, fluency, and swallowing mechanisms. Work hand-in-hand with physical and occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and family members to synchronize patient care. Educate patients and their families to encourage therapeutic progress in their day-to-day lives. Participate in the occasional evaluation and intervention engagements within an inpatient setting to ensure seamless transitions in care. Document patient interactions and progress consistently, adhering to all regulatory requirements. Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology. Education
A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), pending ASHA-certification status. Certifications
Holds valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Skills
