ABOUT SHAW ENERGY
We are building an AI-enabled platform designed to combine talent intelligence, executive search, market mapping, recruiting automation, organizational intelligence, and business development workflows into a single operating environment.
Shaw Energy is an executive search and workforce intelligence firm serving the full energy sector, from oil and gas startups to Fortune 50 organizations. We support companies across all major energy verticals, including private equity-backed platforms, wealth management, and growth-focused energy businesses.
We are seeking a highly experienced AI Systems Architect to help define, architect, and guide the development of this platform.
THIS IS NOT A CODING-ONLY ROLE
We are looking for a strategic technology leader capable of designing scalable systems, evaluating technologies, defining architecture, and helping guide long-term product direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Define overall platform architecture and technical roadmap
* Recommend technologies, frameworks, and infrastructure
* Design data architecture and integration strategy
* Evaluate AI, automation, and machine learning opportunities
* Develop MVP scope and phased development roadmap
* Create technical documentation and architecture diagrams
* Advise on vendor selection and engineering resources
* Establish development standards and governance
* Support fundraising, growth, and future scaling initiatives
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
* Demonstrated success in software architecture, engineering leadership, IT strategy, or senior technology leadership roles.
* Experience with AI, LLMs, agent frameworks, and automation technologies
* Experience with data aggregation and intelligence platforms
* Experience integrating CRM, ATS, and third-party data systems
* Experience leading distributed engineering teams
* Startup and growth-stage company experience strongly preferred
* Experience building SaaS platforms.
* Experienced in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
IDEAL TECHNOLOGY EXPOSURE
* OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini
* n8n, Make, Zapier
* Supabase
* PostgreSQL
* API architecture
* Data pipelines
* Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
* CRM and ATS integrations
* Analytics and business intelligence platforms
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Within the first 30-45 days, the selected individual will:
* Produce a comprehensive architecture blueprint
* Define the MVP and development roadmap
* Recommend the complete technology stack
* Establish development standards and documentation
* Help position the company for future growth and product expansion

We’re flexible on compensation and open to structuring the right arrangement based on your experience, availability, and long-term fit. As the company grows, meaningful wins will be rewarded through ongoing incentive payouts tied to performance, growth milestones, and shared success.
