High School diploma or equivalent Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiolologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program Must be licensed by the State of California in CRT BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA BLS) Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills are essential Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging, proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment, and radiation safety is required Impact of Decisions: Serious impact on patient relationships, patient outcomes, physician efficiency, stewardship of clinic resources, and our image in the community Internal/External Contacts: Patients, physicians and other clinic staff, hospital staff, patient family members and vendors Supervision: Reports to the department Chief Technologist/Manager; does not supervise others
Preferred:
One (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment is preferred Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS is preferred ARRT Certification
