Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on managing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Engage in collaborative efforts with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to create an integrated care plan tailored to patient needs. Provide education to both patients and their families to enhance progress outside of clinical interactions. Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions when required, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the therapy process. Maintain precise and punctual documentation that complies with regulatory and organizational standards. Stay updated with the latest advancements in the realm of speech-language pathology through continued education and collaborative dialogues with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. A completed supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those yet to obtain ASHA certification. Certifications
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification expected within the first month of employment. Skills
