Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (as per credentialing) Instructing patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and ongoing health management Prescribing medications and treatments within the scope of your practice Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care initiatives Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-focused care Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Virginia National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Key Skills for Success
Strong clinical judgment coupled with an empathetic approach Outstanding communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to thrive in a dynamic, patient-centered environment Familiarity with EMR systems and telehealth technology A collaborative spirit and dedication to evidence-based practice What You Will Appreciate About This Position
