Accurately dispense medications to patients upon receipt of proper prescriptions and upon approval of the pharmacist. Review prescriptions for completeness, enter prescription, patient demographic information and payer information into pharmacy databases, fill prescriptions under supervision of the pharmacist and brings any concerns regarding a prescription to the attention of the Pharmacist. Complete training for 340B Drug Pricing Program and Medicare Fraud, Waste and Abuse within 90 days of hire. Verify 340B eligibility of patient, prescription, and provider prior to dispensing 340B purchased medication. Positively interact with patients to ascertain patients' prescription needs, making sure patient consults with the Pharmacist when professional knowledge and judgment are required. Answer phone calls and retrieves phone and internet web portal messages. Accurately transcribe phone messages from automated refill line, addressing messages by the end of each business day. Prepare RX transfer requests for the pharmacist. Check in orders from wholesaler and other pharmaceutical vendors, updating electronic inventory record in the EMR. Stock medications in the pharmacy, ensuring proper storage conditions. Fill clinic and vaccine orders under supervision of and approval by the pharmacist. Submit refill requests, prior authorization requests and other internal communications via the EMR. Prepare daily RX deliveries to remote pick-up locations. Perform payment transactions in POS register. Follows all cash handling policies and procedures. Perform end-of-day prescription and financial reports. Prepare daily cash log, currency summary and deposit for verification and approval by second staff member. Return medications to stock after 14 days in will call area. Identify and pull expired medications from inventory. Complete all training required by department or organization. Maintain current pharmacy technician certification. Perform other duties as assigned required.

Education and Experience:
Required: High school diploma or GED. Required: State of Colorado Pharmacy Technician Certification. Required: Active BLS/CPR Certification. 1 year experience as pharmacy technician in retail setting preferred.
Skills and Expertise:
Ability to interact positively and build rapport with patients, coworkers and/or external contacts Ability to work independently and organize work in a manner that ensures accuracy and efficiency Knowledge of medical electronic billing procedures and coding Ability to demonstrate the capability to effectively and sensitively respond to the needs and concerns of the full range of STRIDE's diverse patient population Customer service skills, including the ability to diffuse upset patients Basic math skills required; Basic excel spreadsheet skills and a basic understanding of accounting helpful Skill in using a variety of computer software including but not limited to the internet and MS Office products Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly Ability to protect the confidentiality of patients, employee and business information Bilingual Spanish is preferred Must be experienced in working in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task and prioritize

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Oneida Clinic STRIDE offers a competitive hourly range of $22.50-$27.00, depending on experience. The salary range reflects STRIDE's good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. Working Environment and Physical Activities: Office environment within a clinical setting. Enters data into computer programs via computer, mouse, and keyboard. Moves about the office environment and occasionally to other locations. Moves/transports objects up to 25 lbs. occasionally. Communicate information to others.
