Business Analyst, Associate Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid – Monthly onsite meetings at Oakland General Office) Duration: 24 Months Pay Rate: $35–45/hr on W2 Position Overview PG&E is seeking a Business Analyst, Associate to support operational processes, records governance, case management activities, data analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong analytical abilities, technical aptitude, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, reporting, case management, process improvement, and stakeholder communication, with the ability to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and support business objectives through data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities
Support records governance and compliance requirements. Manage daily operational activities through timely completion of standard work and case management tasks. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process streamlining efforts. Review, update, and maintain knowledge articles and operational documentation. Support team operational needs and administrative activities. Extract, analyze, and present data for standard reports and business reviews. Track and monitor operational metrics, KPIs, and performance indicators. Assist in identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Participate in project teams and support business process enhancements. Communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and senior team members. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Human Resources, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and prioritization abilities. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Adaptability in changing business environments. Experience working with data, metrics, and reporting tools. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HR data analytics and workforce reporting. Experience in case management or customer service environments. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization. Experience supporting governance, compliance, or records management activities. Experience creating dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking mechanisms. Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Visio, or similar business process tools.
