Conduct thorough evaluations across all age groups, utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods. Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to immediate and long-term communication and swallowing goals. Facilitate individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on aspects such as language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties. Engage in collaborative care with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians while confidently addressing patient and family needs. Empower patients and their families with knowledge and resources to reinforce progress beyond clinical settings. Participate in evaluating and implementing inpatient speech therapy solutions when needed, ensuring seamless care delivery. Maintain detailed and timely documentation aligned with regulatory standards. Commit to advanced learning through ongoing education and teamwork with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
