Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized tests and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language skills, fluency, vocal quality, and swallowing capabilities. Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team consisting of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to coordinate cohesive care strategies. Educate patients and families to support therapy outcomes beyond clinical sessions. Participate in rare inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring seamless transition throughout the care journey. Document patient progress accurately and promptly in accordance with industry regulations. Stay at the forefront of the field by engaging in continued education and peer discussions. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA isn't yet obtained. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
