Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing tailored care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently (per your credentials) Providing education to patients and families regarding preventive care, wellness, and chronic disease management Prescribing medications and therapies as authorized by your practice scope Engaging in patient follow-up and overseeing chronic care management Working collaboratively with interprofessional teams to guarantee encompassing, well-coordinated care Accurately documenting all patient interactions in electronic medical record systems (EMR) Education Prerequisites
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Credentials
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Hawaii National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within the first 90 days) Your Unique Qualities
