Conducting thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic procedures, and crafting customized care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (based on credentialing) Providing education to patients and their families on prevention strategies, wellness, and effective disease management Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions within your professional scope Engaging in patient follow-up and effectively managing chronic care Working cooperatively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and seamless care delivery Accurately documenting all patient interactions within the electronic medical records system (EMR) Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Washington National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or similar specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) Attributes That Will Make You Shine
