Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using a mix of standardized assessments and informal observations. Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that concentrate on elements of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to design integrated care strategies. Provide education for patients and families to support progress beyond the clinical settings. Engage in inpatient speech therapy when necessary, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment continuum. Document patient interactions accurately and promptly while adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations. Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. BLS certification required within the first month of employment. Skills
