Performing comprehensive evaluations of patients, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in partnership with physicians or independently (as credentials allow) Instructing patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and holistic disease management Prescribing medications and therapies within the legal scope Engaging in follow-up care and chronic condition management Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, integrated care Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) Education Credentials
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in Hawaii National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or relevant specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain them within 90 days) Attributes That Distinguish You
