Description WinnMed is seeking a Surgical Support Technician (CNA) to join our growing Surgery team. The Surgical Support Technician (CNA) provides support in both the Operating Room and Endoscopy areas. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, preparing and turning over procedure rooms, supporting equipment and supply needs, and ensuring the safe transport of instruments and scopes-all within the CNA scope of practice. Schedule is primarily 8-hour shifts between Monday - Friday, 7:00a - 3:30 pm. Hours may fluctuate slightly based on surgery case load (as late as 4:30pm). Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with patient transport and positioning Stocking supplies and managing inventory Handling and transporting soiled instruments Assisting with equipment setup Supporting emergency situations (retrieving equipment, calling for assistance) Maintaining proper clean/dirty workflow standards Providing support during conscious sedation procedures Supporting OR/CRNA workflows and cross-coverage as needed RequirementsCertification as a Nursing Assistant in Iowa required. High school diploma or equivalent required. BLS certification required within 6 months of hire. Word and Excel knowledge/experience and medical terminology required. Customer Service and organization skills required.
