Riverside Medical Clinic is the best place to work, practice medicine, and receive care. SUMMARY: Responsible for performing echocardiographic studies. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required. Completion from an AMA accredited training program in 2 D, color flow and M Mode echocardiography, and CPR Certification. Register as an echosonographer is required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Registered Echo sonographer and current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association certification required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job's purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable.
Perform echocardiograms and verify completeness of patient examination prior to submission to Cardiologist. Maintain diagnostic equipment in good working order and notify Supervisor or Director of any equipment in need of repairs. Record inventory and order supplies as needed. Distribute and file all reports. Demonstrate ability to perform quantitative measurements of data obtained from the on mode tracings. Take verbal orders for diagnostic testing from physicians and record orders in chart. Utilizes order entry system to access and complete exams. Compile echo cardiology reports for physicians. Properly label and organize paperwork and/or tapes, CD for physician review.
