Our Mission: Building the nations preeminent eye care services company by partnering with world class physicians, driving superior clinical and surgical outcomes, while optimizing the patient experience Position Summary As a Prior Authorization and Eligibility Coordinator you're responsible for answering a high volume of incoming calls promptly using excellent professional and customer service skills. They must communicate with patients, staff, and doctors clearly and effectively. Work Hours: Monday to Friday 8AM - 5PM Work Locations: Green Valley, Centennial, Wellness Way, and Southwest Roles and Responsibilities
Educate patients on inserting and removing contact lens. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for the patients. Obtain insurance pre-authorizations for in-office procedures, diagnostic testing, surgeries, medications, and specialty contact lens. Quoting estimates of cost for patient's procedures and visits. Communicating with other staff and departments daily for changes and updates. Contact patients if updated insurance information includes but is not limited to invalid insurance policy numbers, plan types and or claim address to ensure proper billing Ability to complete multiple tasks while maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor. Excellent organizational skills. Protects patient's rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. Other duties as needed.
Experience Requirements
Strong data entry and telephone skills. Self-Motivated with problem-solving skills Communication skills Ability to work as a team member Well-organized with strong attention to detail Punctual and Dependable Bilingual skills helpful but not required
Education Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
