Position Overview J.Morrissey is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a busy primary care office in Ellington, CT. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a dependable and patient-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a similar outpatient or primary care setting and be comfortable supporting both clinical and administrative functions. Responsibilities
Room and prepare patients for examinations Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures Perform front office and administrative duties as needed Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR system Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up appointments Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and prepared Deliver excellent patient service and maintain professionalism at all times
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar medical office or primary care setting Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required Experience with Epic and/or Allscripts preferred, but not required Willingness to learn new systems and workflows; training will be provided Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with providers and staff
Compensation
Starting pay: $23-$24/hour, based on experience
