The North Dakota Veterans Home in Lisbon is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our Skilled Care unit and help provide compassionate care to our Veterans and eligible family members. Available Positions:PM Shift CNA (Skilled Care) Schedule: 4 days per week Hours: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM Shift Length: 8 hours Position Overview CNAs assist residents with daily living activities, support mobility, and ensure comfort while fostering dignity and connection. The home includes two basic care pods and one skilled care pod. Summary of Work
CNA positions are responsible for providing quality, compassionate care to residents in our long-term care facility. CNAs work closely with residents to support their daily living needs and ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
Duties and Tasks
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and toileting. Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests. Monitor, document, and report vital signs and resident care activities. Assist with meal service and feeding as needed. Perform indirect resident care tasks to maintain a clean, efficient, and safe care environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Current CNA certification in North Dakota. High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to provide compassionate, resident-centered care. Basic knowledge of infection control, safety, and resident care standards. Ability to follow instructions, document accurately, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members. Physical ability to perform required duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and assisting residents with mobility and daily living activities. Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting resident dignity.
