Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $165,000 - $215,000 plus stock options

Controller Responsibilities: Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and project accounting Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, and KPI reporting Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Lead external audits and coordinate with outside auditors and tax advisors Ensure compliance with federal, state, and multi-state tax regulations Develop and improve accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures Assist with budgeting, forecasting, banking relationships, and treasury management Evaluate and help implement scalable accounting systems and financial tools Build, mentor, and eventually lead an internal accounting team as the company grows Maintain organized financial records and support executive leadership with financial analysis and reporting Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to support strategic company growth initiatives Controller Skills and Abilities: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong leadership and team development abilities Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills Strong knowledge of accounting systems and financial controls Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and build processes from the ground up Strong understanding of project-based accounting environments Controller Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required CPA certification strongly preferred A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience is required Previous leadership experience managing accounting operations is required Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and enterprise accounting systems is preferred Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, technology, or project-based accounting environments is preferred Experience leading audits and managing multi-state tax compliance is preferred Controller - Immediate need.
