The role of the Accounts Payable Associate is to maintain a relationship with our internal customers as well as our Domestic and Global vendors and to coordinate efforts to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Verify the validity of invoices receivedEnsure proper approvals are received prior to paymentEnter invoices in SAP and Concur for payment, ensuring proper cost center and general ledger codingResearch and follow through with vendor requests for outstanding invoice paymentsInterface with other New Era Departments on invoice resolutionsNotify Vendor Owner of any changes to a vendor address, bank account for wires, name, or any other pertinent information to validate and prevent any fraudulent riskAssist with Accounts Payable reconciliation and follow up on open itemsPrepare accounts payable documents for archivingCross-train on all applications and steps involved in payment process (i.e., Concur Invoice, SAP ECC, etc.)Continuously analyze and provide process improvement recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the departmentProvide support for key finance projects, initiatives, and technology implementationsProvide additional support to the finance team as deemed necessaryKeep sensitive information confidentialOther duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systemsAbility to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organizationAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and efficiently prioritize workday to maximize productivityStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionallyEnthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who adapts to change and with urgency and persistenceThe ability to be innovative and creative when handling difficult business challengesSAP Concur & SAP ECC experience preferred
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of degreeZero (0) to Two (2) years of Accounts Payable or other finance related experience required

The location for this position is 100% on-site in Buffalo, NY0% to 5%; domestic and/or global
The salary range for this posted position is $40,000 - $50,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
