Job Summary and Responsibilities As our CT Technologist II, you will utilize advanced Computed Tomography (CT) equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, playing a critical role in patient diagnosis and treatment in various clinical settings, including the mobile stroke unit. You will be instrumental in performing a diverse range of complex CT scans, implementing performance improvement activities, and assisting in equipment/procedure evaluations. Every day you will meticulously perform CT scans based on physician orders and established protocols, covering Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Neuro, Cardiac, and Interventional Procedures. You will expertly operate state-of-the-art CT imaging equipment, administer contrast media, and perform detailed work-ups and reconstructions on 3-D workstations.
To be successful in this role, you will possess current ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications. You must also hold active state licensure as a Medical Radiographer (MRAD:AZ) and CT Radiology Tech (CTRAD:AZ), and BLS-CPR certification. A minimum of three years of CT experience is preferred, demonstrating your ability to handle complex cases. Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Cardiac and Interventional Procedures, Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others. Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitatus. Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier, hand hygiene and universal precautions. Always produces high quality diagnostic exams. Accurately enters, selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system. Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol. Completes exams in Radnet. Completes incident reports/extravasations forms. Completes patient contrast information forms. Scans in documentation as required into PACS Job RequirementsRequired
