Conduct evaluations for patients of all ages, employing standardized tests and observational methods. Create individualized treatment strategies focusing on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to ensure integrated care plans. Provide educational resources to patients and their families to enhance progress during therapy sessions. Contribute to inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when necessary to maintain continuity in patient care. Keep meticulous records that comply with state, federal, and institutional regulations. Pursue continual professional development by staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer collaboration. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications
Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
