Description: Bill rate $17-$19.00 • Mainly onsite to perform lab work and remote on occasion. • Temp position • Interviews - Video (preferred via Teams) or phone, but will NOT be doing in person interviews. • 3 must haves on resume - o 1. Good attitude o 2. Willing to do menial tasks such as washing bottles, labeling plates and bottles. We hope to develop this person over time to take on more responsibilities, but initially to do the little things that are important very important but also take availability o 3. Flexibility - some days might require working late or starting early. We will try to keep it as routine as possible, but some times things come up.
Responsible for:
* Providing microbiology laboratory support according to R&D processes and quality procedures, (i.e. media preparation, lab glassware cleaning, inventory/re-stocking of supplies, and general lab preventative maintenance). * Perform microbiological tests applicable to the assigned to projects, (i.e., growth promotion, sterility testing, or other). * Assist with overall planning and scheduling to meet timelines for the assigned projects. * Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Skills * Basic knowledge of microbiology techniques and good laboratory practices with some hands-on laboratory experiences in media preparation, autoclave use, bioburden and sterility testing of products. * Ability to generate and analyze data to provide meaningful insights and data-driven recommendations. * Ability to work with all associates and is a strong team player. * Coordinates daily activities of team member and supervisor. * Ability to identify problems and escalate accordingly. * Continuously drive to improve processes for improved performance. * Executes against established guidelines and common procedures and policies. * Flexible to work as scheduled based on needs
Education/Experience: * Associate or BS degree in Microbiology/Biological Sciences is preferred * Microbiology laboratory experience desirable
