We are seeking a dedicated ARRT Radiologic Technologist to join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region. This role involves delivering compassionate patient care while expertly operating diagnostic radiographic equipment for evaluation and diagnostic purposes. Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for radiographic procedures by assessing their needs, educating them, and ensuring proper positioning following departmental protocols. Implement safety measures to protect patients from excessive radiation exposure during exams. Document pregnancy status and verify patient identity using two identifiers. Confirm proper orders, lab results, informed consents, and patient preparations before procedures. Administer contrast media (oral, IV, rectal) under provider supervision, documenting type, amount, date, and time. Perform CT scans and assist with surgical and portable radiographic exams as needed. Maintain sterile techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Process and evaluate radiographic images for quality, documenting repeats per quality assurance guidelines. Prepare images for radiologist interpretation and ensure timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to optimize productivity. Manage exam scheduling, order entry, charging, logging, film filing, report distribution, and image release to providers or patients. Maintain all records required for the department's quality assurance program. Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, communication protocols, and compliance standards. Stay knowledgeable of applicable standards and codes relevant to radiologic technology. Education and Certification
Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program. Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current Permit to Practice issued by the relevant state health department. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association. Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire. Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory training requirements. Experience and Requirements
Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
