Responsibilities: ssess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric populations. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines. Provide direct therapeutic interventions to address patients' communication and swallowing difficulties, including articulation, language comprehension and expression, voice disorders, fluency disorders, and dysphagia. Use a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities, such as articulation therapy, language therapy, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and dysphagia therapy, to improve patients' functional abilities and quality of life. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about communication and swallowing disorders, treatment options, home exercises, and strategies for enhancing communication and swallowing safety. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in electronic health records (EHRs) or other designated systems.
Qualifications: Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current and valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state(s) of practice. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred. Minimum of one year of clinical experience as an SLP in a relevant healthcare setting preferred. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with patients and colleagues. bility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
