Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized testing and observational assessments. Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate goals along with long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing interventions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to craft comprehensive care strategies. Educate patients and their families to enhance progress outside of clinical environments. Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the patient's journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational criteria. Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
