Boston West Veterinary Emergency & Specialty is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our overnight team in Natick, Massachusetts.

Compensation
  • $25–$30/hour, based on skill level and experience
  • +$5/hour shift differential for hours worked between 11:00pm–7:00am
Schedule
  • Overnights: Wednesday–Friday, 7:00pm–7:00am

Responsibilities
  • Triage incoming emergency patients
  • Obtain patient histories and perform assessments
  • Assist doctors with diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection
  • Monitor anesthesia and sedation
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Assist with imaging, diagnostics, and emergency procedures
  • Monitor hospitalized and critical patients
  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient and client care
  • Collaborate closely with ER clinicians, specialists, and support teams across departments
Qualifications
  • Veterinary Technician experience required
  • Emergency veterinary or critical care experience strongly preferred
  • CVT, RVT, or LVT credentials preferred
  • Strong technical skills including patient assessment, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and nursing care
  • Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced emergency setting
  • Strong communication skills with clients and team members
  • Positive, collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Passion for emergency medicine and continued professional growth
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
