To support cutting-edge medical education and research, the remote contract Data Engineer - GCP will deploy and optimize Globus Managed File Transfer (MFT) within a GCP hosted Data DMZ, ensuring secure and compliant data workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and operationalize Globus Connect Server within a GCP hosted Data DMZ Manage large scale data transfers and monitor platform health to ensure reliability and performance Support onboarding of research users and provide operational assistance while ensuring compliance with security standards
Required qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience with Globus MFT and Google Cloud Platform Advanced SQL skills for querying and troubleshooting complex datasets Experience with Linux system administration and Bash scripting Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an Associate's degree with two years of relevant experience Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and ETL processes
