Summary We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to support the Pre-Construction Lead and Senior Design Manager in delivering tender stage responsibilities and managing design coordination throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will review project information, including Employer's Requirements, Contractor's Proposals, and Design Team appointments, to ensure all parties understand their contractual obligations.
Key duties include agreeing specialist subcontractor procurement strategies with the site team, producing and monitoring the Project Stage Design Programme and associated deliverables, and managing the Common Data Environment (CDE) including file structures, workflows, and security rights. The role involves chairing design coordination workshops, producing project-specific Design Management Plans (DMP) and BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and ensuring compliance with these documents.
The Design Manager will verify that all design documentation is compliant, coordinated, affordable, and buildable, manage the submission and approval of design data, and assist in the commercial and technical review of specialist subcontractor tenders.
