Our reputation for excellence is built on great choices and empowered leadership, and fosters a team thats focused on evidence based practice, continual learning and exceptional quality of care./ppThe Nursing Technician performs, under the supervision or direction of a Registered Nurse, those duties to assist in safe treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliAssists with admission of patients re: reception, equipment preparation, vital signs, obtaining actual weights, orientation to surroundings and implementation of safety measures./liliPerforms direct care with attention to personal hygiene, safety, comfort and skin care while anticipating the needs of the patient and family./liliPerforms oxygen equipment preparation, phlebotomy, 12 lead EKG, Arrhythmia interpretation./liliResponsible to prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding as directed. Distributes water and other nourishments as directed./liliAssists and/or transports patients in a timely and safe manner./liliCollects and transports specimens maintaining standards mandated by regulatory agencies./liliDemonstrates understanding and cooperation with the prep process for the OR in a timely fashion/liliTransports patients to the CTICU/li/ulh3Requirements/h3ulliHigh School Diploma or GED/liliCompletion of NA program, BOCES, Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent, or completion of medical/surgical experience within an RN program/liliCurrent BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA)/li/ulpPosted Salary Range/ppUSD $27.68 - USD $35.99 /Hr./ppThis range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
