Part-Time Cashier

We're looking for a friendly and reliable Part-Time Cashier to join our team at Koopman Lumber! In this role, you'll be the face of our checkout experience delivering friendly, efficient service while accurately processing customer transactions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

What You'll Do

  • Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone
  • Process purchases accurately and efficiently at the register
  • Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment
  • Answer basic product questions and direct customers to the appropriate department
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area
  • Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company policy
  • Perform price checks and assist with customer inquiries during transactions
  • Promote a positive shopping experience through courteous and professional service
  • Follow all cash handling procedures and company policies

Requirements

Physical Demands

  • Stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Regular bending, reaching, climbing, lifting, and squatting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
