About

Advanced Cloud DevOps and Platform Engineer Location: Scottsdale, AZ. Contract Position $60.74-$65.74/Hour. This role involves developing CI/CD pipelines, managing infrastructure, integrating security, scripting, and driving cloud solutions for a space and defense company.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated integration and deployment CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and frequent releases by project teams
Automate and manage infrastructure provisioning and configuration to support scalability and reliability
Implement security automated measures throughout the software development lifecycle to prevent vulnerabilities
Write scripts and code to automate processes and integrate various systems and tools
Leverage cloud (AWS/Azure GovCloud) for increased workflow efficiencies and realized scalable virtualized test environments
Support successful implementation of a PaaS in the Cloud through architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more
Qualifications
U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain U.S. Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or STEM and 5+ years of experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience
Experience working with public (AWS, Azure), private (RHOSP, VIO), and mixed cloud environments
Container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
Deployment of CI/CD technologies such as GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef
Experience maintaining production‑grade applications in virtualized environments (cloud computing platforms and services) using automation
Creation of pipelines, Ansible Playbooks, and/or Terraform configurations to automate administrative actions from resource creation to service configuration
Preferred Qualifications
IT security practices including encryption, certificates, key management, patch management, STIG, RMF, security hardening, and auditing
Installation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such as Amazon Web Services, OpenStack, RHOSP, or VIO
Management of Cloud Resources in Amazon Web Services and/or Azure
Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, or OpenShift
Cloud automation tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, or Packer
Open source server, messaging, load balancing, and database software (RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch)
Scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers (NGINX)/Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms)
