Sales Account Executive – Lamar Advertising Lamar Advertising is hiring a Sales Account Executive with a base salary and commission structure. The role supports outdoor advertising campaigns for brands in the Latham, NY area. The position requires field sales experience, strong relationship building, and the ability to exceed sales targets.
Responsibilities
Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports.
Target businesses in the assigned area and visit existing Lamar clients and competitors’ clients within specified timeframes.
Use the company’s computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, prepare proposals, written presentations, and research.
Cluster accounts to work efficiently and identify potential growth areas to open new accounts.
Present to clients regularly and develop new product knowledge and selling skills.
Participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
Perform administrative duties such as maintaining sales plans a month in advance, following up on client production orders, and maintaining organized records.
Qualifications
Comfort making cold calls over the phone and in person.
Ability to make oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures.
Alignment with values of inclusivity and effective communication with diverse backgrounds.
Motivation to learn new technology and systems.
Effective time management and self‑organization.
Willingness to immerse yourself in the outdoor advertising industry.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under fluctuating workloads.

Ability to meet a sales quota and utilize general sales techniques.
Intrinsic self‑motivation, resilience in response to rejection, and the ability to overcome challenges.
Education & Experience
Current and valid driver’s license.
College degree preferred.
Previous outdoor advertising sales experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
CRM experience preferred.
