ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Student Information Systems:
Serves as the District administrator and primary point of contact for the Infinite Campus Student Information System. Coordinates and maintains district wide student information, enrollment, attendance, scheduling, grading, behavior, and report systems within Infinite Campus Provides training, technical assistance, and ongoing support to administrators, teachers, office staff, and other users regarding Infinite Campus procedures and functionality. Develops, maintains, and monitors district protocols and procedures related to student data collection, reporting, security, and compliance with state and federal requirements. Coordinates state reporting processes and ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timely submission of required student data reports Maintains user accounts, security roles, permissions, and access controls within Infinite Campus and other assigned student data reports. Collaborates with district and school personnel to resolve data discrepancies, troubleshoot system issues, and improve data quality. Shares training materials, and user guides related to student information systems and data management.
Safety:
Serves as the District Safety Coordinator and leads the implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of district wide school safety, emergency preparedness, and crisis response programs. Coordinates the development, review, and implementation of district and school emergency operations plans, crisis response procedures, threat assessment processes, reunification plans, and safety protocols. Serves as the primary liaison with law enforcement, School Resource Officers, emergency responders, public health agencies, and community partners to support district safety initiatives. Coordinates district wide safety training programs, emergency drills, exercises, and compliance activities in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements. Supports and coordinates crisis response teams, threat assessment teams, and emergency response efforts during critical incidents and emergencies. Provides guidance to administrators regarding threat assessment procedures, behavioral intervention strategies, incident response, investigations, and safety-related reporting. Monitors and supports the implementation of safety technologies, emergency communication systems, visitor management systems, and other security measures. Maintains required safety records, compliance documentation, and reports; prepares recommendations and reports for district leadership as needed. Monitors emerging school safety trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices and recommends improvements to district safety programs and procedures. Collaborates with district staff, students, families, community agencies, and public safety partners to promote safe and secure learning environments. Performs other duties related to district safety, emergency preparedness, and crisis management as assigned by the Superintendent or designee. Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee. Only minimum duties are listed. Other functions may be required as given or assigned. DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience coordinating school safety programs, emergency management initiatives, crisis response teams, or related programs preferred. Training or certification in school safety, emergency management, threat assessment, ALICE, FEMA Incident Command System (ICS), National Incident Management System (NIMS), or related fields preferred. Knowledge of federal and state student data reporting requirements and privacy laws, including FERPA. Knowledge of school safety practices, emergency preparedness planning, crisis response procedures, threat assessment processes, and applicable regulations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, community members, law enforcement agencies, and emergency responders. Demonstrated knowledge of issues related to student information systems, data management, emergency preparedness, school security, and district safety operations.
EQUIPMENT USED: A variety of electronic and technology devices including computers, tablets, printers, scanners, copier, fax, telephone/voice mail systems, safety communication equipment, emergency notification systems, and district software applications. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside office and school environments. The employee may occasionally visit school campuses, attend meetings at various district locations, participate in emergency response activities, and attend safety-related training events. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The employee may occasionally work irregular or extended hours in support of district operations, emergency situations, reporting deadlines, training activities, or safety events. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally walk, stand, bend, reach, and lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to hear conversations in quiet environments and communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic means. MENTAL/MOTOR DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely performs routine work.
