Security Clearance: Secret (current and active on day 1) What You Will Do Manage and optimize the server infrastructure in a heterogeneous information system. Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. Lead a team of System Administrators to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT systems and applications within the assigned section. Provide leadership to support a varied range of administrative tasking, including corrective/preventive maintenance, recurring operations functions, account management, and system optimization. Guide administrators in setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space. Work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures. Participate in Change Request reviews and in Change Management boards at multiple program levels. Coordinate technical and process document reviews and resolve system administration, engineering, and integration issues. Lead and participate in technical meetings with team members and other program personnel, representing the organization in functional area matters. Obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date. Provide support for systems that are operational 24x7 and may require work beyond standard hours. Travel to other U.S. domestic locations as business needs dictate (up to 10% per year). Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field. Active transferable U.S. Secret Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. Experience as a Linux System Administrator. Experience with at least two of the following technologies: VMware, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Podman, Terraform and/or Ansible, Windows administration. Preferred Qualifications Patch management. OS upgrades. Computer security. System monitoring and logging. Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems. Experience with NetApp and Veeam. Requirements gathering, planning, and managing deployment, installation, maintenance, and upgrade efforts across multiple geographic sites. Experience managing IT services and support in a 24/7 real‑time operational environment. Linux/Windows scripting.
