OverviewShift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM + rotating weekends and holidays As a Patient Safety Technician, you will make a real impact by supporting clients in their daily activities while helping maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. You'll monitor and interact with clients throughout the day, document activity, and contribute to care guided by trauma-informed principles. Join our team of experts and make a difference with UnityPoint Health. ResponsibilitiesCleaning building, completing laundry, stocking supplies, and preparing food for clients
Respond to calls and provide front desk coverage Completes safety rounding to maintain therapeutic, secure, and safe environment for patients/visitors/staff including enforcement of rules. Accurately documents safety rounds.
Intervenes appropriately and therapeutically in crisis situations using crisis intervention preventions and trauma informed care. Demonstrate competence in recognizing and responding to patients physical, mental, emotional and developmental needs utilizing crisis prevention intervention and trauma informed care. Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. License(s)/Certification(s):
Possession of a valid Class "D" Iowa driver's license or an equivalent license from the employee's state of residence. CPR CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training, initial & yearly renewal Experience:
Knowledge of proper food handling and preparation. Mental health or substance disorder experience preferred.
