Physical Therapy Assistant

UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, and the only academic health system based in Orange County. Your Role on the Team:

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Physical Therapist, incumbents independently initiate and perform patient treatments using various procedures, modalities and instructions. In addition, will perform related patient care activities such as removing & reapplying dressings, providing transportation, providing patient education, completing daily progress notes, and ensuring accurate charge entry. Prepares schedules for patients' treatment, and cleans and disinfects equipment as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

What It Takes to be Successful:

Required Qualifications: Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties. Must possess current valid Physical Therapy Assistant License. Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job. Minimum of two years experience and the ability to treat 3 or more types of patient conditions (CVA, SCI, TBI, Peds, Ortho, burns, hand etc.). Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
