Quality Assurance / Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift
Location: Peosta, Iowa | On-Site Pay: $20 - $25/hour + $0.50/hour shift differential Work only 4 days per week and enjoy a 3-day weekend every week! Premier Tooling & Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join its 2nd Shift team. This position is responsible for inspecting manufactured parts using approved quality inspection techniques to ensure products meet customer and company standards. Candidates with machining or manufacturing experience who have performed quality inspections as part of their role are encouraged to apply. 2nd Shift Schedule Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2 AM Friday, Saturday and Sunday off! plus a $0.50 shift differential Overtime (OT): Occasional OT needed on Friday night (3:30-Midnight) and Saturday afternoon (11AM-5PM). They are on a rotating schedule if OT is required for the weekend. Compensation & Benefits Starting pay is based on experience, blueprint reading ability, and quality inspection experience. A monthly attendance award is paid at $174 per month (equivalent to $1/hr). Essential Functions Read and interpret blueprints Perform receiving, first piece, in-process, and last piece inspections Conduct final audit inspections and dock audits Perform part layout inspections and quality documentation (PPAP, ISIR, APQP) Paint and engrave templates Utilize statistical process controls (SPC) methods Assist with calibration activities Participate in corrective action investigations and continuous improvement efforts Skills & Qualifications Basic math skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to use calipers, micrometers, protractors, specialized gauges, and CMM equipment (training provided as needed) Ability to learn and retain new processes, procedures, and quality standards Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team Knowledge of ISO quality standards and procedures is a plus Demonstrated reliability, attendance, and punctuality Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift, including walking up to three miles per shift Manual dexterity and coordination necessary to perform inspection and measurement tasks Commitment to following all safety policies and procedures Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in manufacturing, machining, quality inspection, CNC operations, toolmaking, or a related production environment preferred Experience reading blueprints, interpreting specifications, and using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar inspection equipment preferred Why Join Premier?
