St. Joseph's Addiction Treatment and Recovery Centers Location: North Country Freedom Homes - Canton, NY Position: Full-time Clinical Aide Shift/Schedule Available: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00pm-7:00am Pay Range: $16.00/hour to $22.00/hour Position Summary: The clinical aide works under the supervision of the Program Director/Designee in assisting residents to become accustomed to the residence routine and encourages them to participate in social and recreational activities to promote recovery. Special Considerations: Work within a trauma-informed environment. Adhere to Sanctuary commitments. Commitment to Social Responsibility, Emotional Intelligence, Social Learning, Open Communication, Democracy, Nonviolence and Growth and Change performing the job duties. Essential Duties:
Welcomes and Orients New Residents - Introduces new residents to the facility, local community, and available resources. Supports Substance-Free Community Living - Assists residents in adjusting to their new environment while maintaining sobriety. Monitors Family Visits - Oversees family interactions and provides support to residents as needed. Documents Resident Progress - Prepares written observational reports on residents' attitudes, behaviors, and significant weekend events. Facilitates Personal Growth and Sobriety - Provides guidance and assistance to residents on their recovery journey. Collaborates with Case Management - Meets biweekly with the case manager to discuss new arrivals, resident progress, and house updates. Engages with Fellowship Groups - Cooperates with local support and recovery groups to foster a strong community network. Manages Grocery Shopping - Purchases groceries as directed by the site manager to meet residents' needs. Ensures Quality of Services - Performs additional duties as required by the program director to maintain high-quality resident care. Trains New Residence Aides - May be responsible for onboarding and training new staff members. Conducts Resident Admissions - May interview new residents and complete the admission process, including necessary paperwork. Prepares Resident Meals - Capable of cooking and serving meals for residents as needed. Maintains Driving Requirements - Must possess a valid New York State driver's license and be eligible for insurance coverage. Supervises and Documents Urine Drug Screens (UDS) - Ensures compliance with drug screening procedures and maintains proper documentation. Performs Additional Duties as Assigned - Completes other tasks as necessary to support residents and the facility.
