As a Security Guard Armed Patrol in Jennings, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 06:00 PMTue06:00 AM - 06:00 PMWed06:00 AM - 12:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, restricted areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, observing visitor movement, and reporting security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
- Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site-specific instructions, including maintaining professional firearm handling practices, documenting incidents, and reporting observed issues promptly.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
