Overview The Vendor Sales and Relationship Manager is a commercially minded business development professional to grow vendor revenue (e.g., webinars, digital membership access, custom research) and vendor conference sponsorships. This role focuses on monetizing Cutter’s conferences, research programs, digital presence, and industry relationships by working directly with vendors and service providers. It is a quota-carrying role with clear revenue responsibility. This position will work closely with the Head of Research, Membership Sales Manager, and the Client Success Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Sell sponsorships and partnership offerings tied to Cutter conferences, research programs, and digital platforms to vendors
Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and other third parties
Drive new vendor revenue through proactive outreach, packaging, and creative partnership structures
Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiation, and contract close
Conference & Program Monetization
Partner with internal stakeholders to define sponsorship packages and pricing
Help evolve Cutter’s vendor offerings to maximize relevance and ROI
Support vendor participation in events, research initiatives, and co-marketing opportunities
Relationship & Account Management
Maintain ongoing relationships with vendor partners to drive repeat sponsorships
Identify upsell and expansion opportunities across Cutter programs
Act as a commercial liaison between vendors and internal teams
Drive the vendor lunch and learn program to highlight vendors to Cutter’s research and consulting personnel
Qualifications
5–8 years of business development or sales experience
Familiarity with asset or wealth management technology vendors
Able to develop and manage a pipeline of business opportunities, ensuring consistent progress towards revenue targets
Exposure to conferences or sponsorships is a plus
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
Self-starter with strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
Demonstrated knowledge of CRM, Marketing Automation, and modern B2B selling
Operates with a high degree of transparency and ownership, and maintains disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and proactive communication of risk and opportunities
Education Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree is a plus.

Compensation Compensation: The anticipated total compensation range for this role is $75,000–$150,000, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, market conditions, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined based on individual background and alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
