Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure if required by law.
- 2 years of experience.
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
- Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care
- Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes
- Models proficiency through precepting those new to UCHealth
- Welcomes new knowledge in a fast paced, innovative clinical environment
- Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care
- Reviews patient history, initiates Computed Tomography or Radiologic images based on physician order, and prioritizes procedural patient education to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation
- Safely administers contrast media or associated imaging medications whilemonitoringpatient condition
- Responds and reports changes in patient condition as appropriate
- Implements techniques to yield clarity in image, quality control, and equipment functionality based onestablishedbest practices in Radiology (ARRT)
- May perform 3-D post processing while entering,transmittingand reporting scanresults
- Provides monitoring, coaching, and evaluation of team members' performance, especially in productivity and quality management. Serves as a positive role model by working with team members to promote teamwork and cooperation.
- Assistswith coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision-making/problem-solving. Performs responsibilities of underlyingjob.
- Takesresponsibility for, or provides guidance to team members on, the handling of complex or novel issues.
- Oversees equipment quality control testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Within the scope of the job, requires critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and takeappropriate action.
