About the Role The Sage Groups' Client is seeking a thoughtful, curious writer to create content that is relevant, credible, and differentiated, while aligning to SEO/GEO best practices. You'll write articles for client's owned channels using question-first formats and direct answer techniques that work well in both traditional search engines and emerging AI answer systems like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. What You'll Do Content Creation Work as part of the editorial team to create high-quality, relevant, credible, and differentiated news and stories Write clear, structured articles optimized for SEO and answer engine visibility Use question-first formats and direct answer techniques to make content AI-friendly Collaborate with editorial and SEO leads to refine article structure and voice Insight & Listening Systematically review Sales, Support, and customer interactions to identify real user questions Translate those signals into topic ideas and better content framing that aligns to both SEO and AEO best practices Content Optimization Apply on-page SEO fundamentals (keyword integration, internal linking) Write in structured formats (FAQ, Q&A) that align to GEO best practice Partner with SEO team to review performance signals Collaboration Work with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, CS) to refine content relevance Partner with editorial leadership on topic prioritization and style standards What Success Looks Like High-quality articles published on schedule. Content that meets editorial and SEO/GEO standards for clarity, structure, and answer-friendliness. Insights from listening systematically inform future topics. Writing that consistently meets clarity, structure, and evidence standards. Skills & Experience 1–2 years writing or content experience (SEO writing experience a plus). Strong writing fundamentals — clarity, structure, specificity, and FAQ-style content. Familiarity with SEO basics (keywords, on-page optimization) and structured content formats. Curious about how search and AI systems surface answers. Comfortable synthesizing insights from internal discussions and external signals. Remote: June 2026 to 4/2027 – Good chance of extension or possible conversion to FTE Pay: $40.00 / W2
