You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of data engineering—from building robust ETL/ELT pipelines and managing data warehouses in GovCloud environments to ensuring data integrity and compliance with stringent DoD security protocols. The position involves direct engagement with mission stakeholders to ensure the data ecosystem is optimized for advanced analytics, machine learning, and timely decision‑making in high‑stakes environments.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable data pipelines within DoD‑compliant environments.
Develop robust ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse and often classified sources, ensuring data integrity and proper handling.
Implement data quality checks and monitoring to guarantee the accuracy and availability of mission‑critical data.
Build and manage data infrastructure in DoD cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and on‑premises classified networks.
Design and implement data warehousing, data lakes, and data models that are optimized for performance and security in a high‑stakes environment.
Implement security controls, data governance, and access management compliant with DoD policies, STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides), and data classification levels.
Collaborate with intelligence analysts, data scientists, and mission stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for data architectures, pipelines, and processes in accordance with DoD standards.
Automate manual processes and optimize data delivery to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of mission support operations.
Other duties as assigned.

Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance to the team.
Extensive hands‑on experience building and optimizing data pipelines in government cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and on‑premises classified networks.
Deep experience handling, processing, and securing data across various classification levels (CUI, Secret, TS/SCI).
