Our Government Services team is hiring a Principal Data Analyst. In this role you will analyze, prepare, and process data sets to provide direct insights, statistical modeling, or other analytical exploration for internal and external clients. Your responsibilities will include compiling complex data sets from various sources for exploratory and pre-defined analyses; auditing these data sets for completeness, validity, and other data health measures; evaluating data sets for analytical possibilities and pitfalls; transforming data for specific team functions; conducting basic statistical testing and exploratory data analysis; creating data visualizations that adhere to design and presentation guidelines; consulting with internal and external clients on data availability, key performance indicators, and trends; and providing support to end-users on accessing and running reports. Responsibilities Compile complex data sets from various sources for exploratory and pre-defined analyses. Audit complex data sets for completeness, validity, and other pertinent data health measures. Evaluate complex data sets for analytical possibilities and pitfalls with guidance as needed. Transform complex data for specific team functions or processes. Conduct basic statistical testing and exploratory data analysis. Create basic data visualizations leveraging design and data presentation guides. Consult with internal and external clients on data availability and identification of key performance indicators while pinpointing trends, correlations, and patterns. Provide support to end-users on accessing and running reports. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or related field required. At least 8 years of work experience relevant to data analytics and/or statistics, including quantitative or statistical analysis, data mining, predictive or statistical modeling, data management, data transformation, and data visualization. Demonstrated experience gathering requirements and translating complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders. Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position. Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen. Preferred Qualifications At least 3 years of consulting experience communicating data insights to clients. At least 3 years of experience using analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Oracle Analytics). At least 3 years of experience using SQL. Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations. Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Willing to travel 25%. Benefits Salary range: $97,500 to $209,500 per annum (US). Eligible for bonus and equity.
