Network Engineer II Location: Woodlawn, MD (Hybrid)
Job Summary STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Network Engineer II on behalf of our client in Woodlawn, MD. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced networking professional to support and enhance large-scale enterprise network environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cisco technologies, including routing, switching, wireless networking, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), with a proven ability to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructures across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise wireless LAN infrastructure.
Implement and support Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) solutions.
Configure and manage enterprise routing and switching environments.
Prepare, stage, and deploy network equipment for production environments.
Support installation and maintenance of routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points.
Perform network upgrades, configuration changes, and infrastructure enhancements.
Troubleshoot network issues and provide advanced technical support.
Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability.
Create and maintain accurate network documentation and operational procedures.
Collaborate with project teams to support network deployment initiatives.
Participate in scheduled after-hours and weekend maintenance activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant networking experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
Active CCNP certification or equivalent Cisco certification.
Hands‑on experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
Minimum 3 years of enterprise networking experience.
Strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies.
Experience supporting medium to large enterprise network environments.
Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN technologies.
Experience configuring and supporting Cisco IOS and/or Cisco NX‑OS platforms.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Woodlawn, MD.
Willingness to travel as required for project and deployment activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Cisco 300‑715 SISE certification.
CCIE Written Exam completed within the past year.
Experience with Python scripting and network automation.
Knowledge of Regular Expressions (Regex).
Experience implementing Cisco ISE in large enterprise environments.
Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls and VPN technologies.
Experience supporting multi‑site wireless deployments.
Experience working in multi‑data center environments.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
