Work You’ll Do As a PROJECT – Lead Security Engineer II on the Enterprise Security team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, troubleshooting, and optimizing secure, high‑availability enterprise network environments in support of mission‑critical operations.
Lead the deployment and configuration of routers, switches, and other network infrastructure in enterprise environments.
Design and optimize network architectures to improve availability, scalability, performance, and security.
Troubleshoot network issues and implement corrective actions to maintain reliable network operations.
Partner with engineering teams to evaluate hardware, test architectures, and support custom network solutions.
Contribute within Agile, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and DevSecOps environments by supporting continuous improvement and automation efforts.

The Team Deloitte's Government & Public Services (GPS) practice serves federal, state, and local government clients as well as public higher education institutions. Our Enterprise Security offering embeds security in all aspects of digital transformation, including security architecture, secure development and deployment, end‑to‑end cyber cloud capabilities, application security, and security for emerging technologies and connected products.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 18+ years of total experience, or master's degree and 10+ years of total experience
5+ years of experience with the following:
Experience working with enterprise network environments, including design, deployment, or operations of network infrastructure
Experience with core networking and security concepts, including routing, switching, firewalls, network monitoring, access management controls, network reliability, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
Experience working in complex, large‑scale enterprise environments and collaborating with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams
Experience working in Agile, DevSecOps, or similar iterative engineering environments
Active TS/SCI clearance or SCI eligibility
Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Colorado Springs, CO
Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $116,200 to $193,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
