About

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced AWS Engineer with strong architectural and hands‑on engineering expertise to help design, build, and deploy a mirrored AWS environment based on our current production ecosystem. The role involves standing up a new AWS landing zone, implementing secure and scalable infrastructure, and enabling automated deployments through best‑in‑class IaC and DevOps practices. It is a highly technical, onsite role requiring close collaboration with internal engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure all cloud services, policies, and configurations align with enterprise standards. Prefer NJ‑based candidates who can go to the office once a week, Raritan, NJ. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain AWS landing zones and multi‑account architectures. Build and manage secure, scalable infrastructure using AWS Control Tower, IAM, SCPs, and other governance services. Deploy and manage networking, VPC configuration, and overall AWS services across environments. Automate infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, and AWS CodePipeline. Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python (Boto3) and other scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell). Ensure compliance with security, risk, and regulatory requirements (SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, NIST). Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. 10‑15+ years of IT/software engineering experience, with 7+ years focused on AWS cloud platforms. Strong hands‑on experience managing enterprise AWS environments and AWS Organizations. Deep understanding of AWS Organizations, SCPs, IAM governance, multi‑account architectures, landing zone implementations, and AWS Control Tower. Experience reviewing and approving AWS services based on security and compliance standards. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CDK. Strong Python automation and AWS SDK (Boto3) experience. Experience building cloud automation and self‑service provisioning workflows. Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline. Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, logging, and monitoring. Preferred Qualifications AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialty). Experience migrating or replicating enterprise cloud environments. Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and logging tools (CloudWatch, OpenSearch, etc.).
