Redmond, WA In this role, you will design, develop, and support telemetry reporting, analytics, automation, and AI-assisted solutions that improve visibility into service health, availability, operational performance, telemetry coverage, and data quality. You will build dashboards, reports, data models, automation workflows, and analytics components that help engineering and operations teams monitor production systems, identify issues, and make data-driven decisions. The role includes developing Power BI reports, Grafana dashboards, Kusto-based analytics, SQL queries, ETL/data pipelines, and AI-enabled reporting components. You will also validate production solutions, troubleshoot reporting and data issues, support scheduled refreshes, maintain documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable analytics solutions. Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, validate, maintain, and support telemetry reporting, analytics, automation, and AI-assisted solutions. Build and maintain Power BI reports, Grafana dashboards, semantic models, and analytics solutions that deliver actionable business and operational insights. Develop, optimize, and maintain Azure Data Explorer/Kusto queries, functions, data models, scheduled tables, materialized tables, snapshot tables, and supporting datasets. Integrate enterprise data sources and develop SQL queries, ETL processes, and data pipelines needed for reporting and analytics solutions. Create automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, C#, or similar scripting/programming languages to streamline operational tasks and business processes. Develop AI-enabled reporting and analytics components, including agent-based workflows, prompt assets, knowledge files, and automated reporting capabilities. Validate data quality, business logic, report accuracy, dashboard performance, and scheduled refreshes to ensure reliable production solutions. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline, query, reporting, dashboard, and production issues. Create and maintain technical documentation, reusable components, and engineering best practices to support long-term maintainability. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality analytics and reporting solutions. Support continuous improvement of telemetry visibility, telemetry availability, clean telemetry, and telemetry data quality. Qualifications
5+ years of experience in reporting and analytics, including Power BI, data modeling, DAX, Grafana or similar reporting platforms, and web-based reporting. 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including SQL, ETL/data pipelines, data modeling, and cloud-based analytics platforms. 3+ years of experience with automation, scripting, or application development using Python, PowerShell, C#, or similar languages. Hands-on experience developing dashboards, reports, analytics models, and operational reporting solutions. Experience building and optimizing Kusto/ADX queries or working with similar large-scale analytics/query platforms. Experience integrating enterprise data sources and supporting data pipelines for analytics and reporting use cases. Experience validating report accuracy, business logic, data quality, and production refresh processes. Ability to troubleshoot production issues related to data pipelines, queries, dashboards, reporting solutions, and automation workflows. Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar work item tracking and delivery tools. Strong documentation, collaboration, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with telemetry, service health, availability monitoring, operational dashboards, or production monitoring systems. Experience supporting enterprise-scale reporting, analytics, or data engineering environments. Experience with AI-assisted reporting, agentic solutions, Copilot-style agents, prompt assets, or automated report generation. Experience developing reusable analytics components, reporting templates, automation frameworks, or shared data models. Experience working across the full solution lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, validation, production support, and continuous enhancement. Experience improving telemetry coverage, telemetry data quality, operational visibility, and production reliability. Familiarity with modern cloud analytics, observability, and data platform technologies. Ability to deliver high-quality work with minimal rework and strong first-pass acceptance during stakeholder review. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, cross-functional engineering environment. Salary Range: At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $150,000– $170,000 per annum. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
